- The hot air balloon show is only available in the morning session from 05:30–07:00 and the afternoon session from 17:00–18:30 (Tuesdays and holidays), and there will be no hot air balloons on the grass at other times. It is recommended to choose the morning session, which is less likely to be canceled due to the weather, no need to bask in the sun, and you can also watch the sunrise by the way!
- Tickets are free for the Luye Gaotai venue, and only the hot air balloon tethered experience requires tickets (online reservation/on-site ticket purchase).
- There are only 8 projection mapping concerts, remember to check the location, schedule, the most recommended opening ceremony, Chishang Dapo Pool Field, and closing ceremony.
- Hot air balloons are susceptible to weather, and if the weather is unstable at the time of departure, it is recommended to arrange two viewing opportunities: the afternoon of the first day + the morning of the next day, which is safer.

Taitung Hot Air Balloon Schedule: 7/4 (Sat) – 8/20 (Thu)
- Admission is free; only the Hot Air Balloon Tethered Experience requires a separate ticket.
- Hot air balloon displays and tethered experiences only take place during the morning session (05:30–07:00) and the afternoon session (17:00–18:30). There will be no hot air balloons on-site at other times.

The Taitung Hot Air Balloon Carnival only provides a tethered experience, which is to fix the hot air balloon with a rope, so that the hot air balloon can rise and fall to about 60 meters at a fixed point, and it will fly up but not fly away.

- Clothing Recommendations: Long sleeves, cotton clothing and sneakers are recommended. Do not wear long skirts, high heels, sandals, long hair should be tied up, preferably a hat with a brim.
- Not allowed to ride: Under 110 cm; anyone who has been drinking, is afraid of heights, has high blood pressure, asthma, cardiovascular disease, is pregnant, or is bringing pets. It’s also not recommended for those who get nervous easily or are not in good physical condition.
- Disability instructions: Because wheelchairs cannot enter the basket, passengers must be able to stand; Please also inform us in advance after purchasing tickets to facilitate the arrangement of the opening ceremony.
- Online reservation instructions:Online booking only lets you skip the on-site ticket line—you still need to check in on site to collect a numbered ticket, then queue to ride in check-in order. Based on past years’ experience, rides may be canceled at any time due to strong winds. Even with a reservation, it’s recommended to check in early so you can ride earlier.
- Refund and Exchange Policy: In the event of cancellations due to unpredictable factors such as weather, full refunds are available both on-site and online. For cancellations due to personal reasons, a 10% service fee will be charged if requested at least 4 days prior to the departure date; otherwise, no refunds or rescheduling will be permitted.

Hot air balloon tethered experience experience
In fact, it didn’t rise very high, and it was fun to watch others go up and down when I waited, but I was still a little nervous when I actually wanted to ride it, and at first I felt that the sound of the fire breathing directly above was loud and a little scary, and I was still used to the sound of the flames and the temperature and it had already floated up silently!
The feeling of looking at the hot air balloon from above and the scenery is very different from looking at it from the bottom, you can see the top of the head of other hot air balloons haha, but it feels like it is about to go down before you can take enough pictures, whether you buy tickets online or on the spot, you need to queue up to take the hot air balloon, plus the time is too short, probably the only two shortcomings, generally I still think that people who have never taken a hot air balloon can experience it.
You will need to cross the edge of the basket to enter the basket, it is recommended not to wear a skirt, it is best to wear pants that are easy to move around.
